As evening came the lighting and illuminations were progressively switched on.
The lights at Pleasureland were amongst the first to appear.
The Big One, seen through a network of tram power lines, isn’t fully illuminated yet as a ride descends with its screaming passengers.
Meanwhile, though the beach is now in darkness, a few people remain.
Further North, the Tower and Promenade illuminations have been turned on and he Ferris Wheel of Central Pier can be seen bottom right.
As I walk along a dark side-street, the rocket-like, illuminated Tower can be seen, its base hidden behind a building.
I chose this photo that I shot looking along the Promenade.
