Scotland Revisited #10

From the Red Deer Park we continued on our way to the Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre.

Just before we reached the Visitor Centre, we got our first proper look at Loch Clatteringshaw. There was a layby allowing us to stop the car and take some photographs.

The surface of the loch was mirror-smooth allowing these gorgeous reflections of the sky and of the land beyond the loch.

Soon, it was time to drive the short distance to the Visitor Centre car park.

A poster like the one above is much needed in the town where I live.

At the Visitor Centre there was a small café and information centre plus some picnic benches so we could enjoy a hot drink and some cake by the lakeside.

I thought that this small clump of lichen represented the cleanliness of the air in the Park area.

The photographer in me couldn’t resist a walk down to the lakeside.

I wasn’t the only visitor by the water’s edge.

Soon we had to leave, but on our way to our next destination, I stopped to photograph the above monument in the mountains ahead.
