On day three of our visit we were out early to visit Galloway Forest Park. We stopped on our way to our first Visitor Centre at the Red Deer Park.

The deer were in a fenced off area of the Forest Park, so we had to view them through small openings in a hide or at a gate where some of the deer waited to be fed by visitors. The fine fellow above seemed shy and this was the best shot I was able to get of him from the hide.

There isn’t very much to say about my individual photos today and the deer are so beautiful that I’ll just show you some more photos.

I particularly liked the image that I’ve chosen today – no particular reason, just my favourite, you’ll have your own – perhaps the stag with his antlers.
EXIF data were: 1/125 @ f/4.5 and 55 mm. The ISO was 160.
