Just a couple more days of bridge photos. I’ll end the series with some 2020 images of bridges in London, but, before then, for the next two days I’ll share some less recent holiday photos of bridges in New Zealand and Venice. The quality of these isn’t too bad, but all those I took over the years elsewhere overseas are unusable. So, even though I only started to learn how to use a camera properly in 2018, here are some from the dark ages of my photography experience. The better ones of these are more by luck than skill.
Anyway, today, here’s a selection from a month my wife and I spent in New Zealand in 2017.

Starting in North Island, the photo above shows a bridge over the River Tongariro near Turangi.

Still in North Island you next see a railway bridge near Taupo.

A rope bridge at Rivendell in Kaitoke Regional Park, North Island on our way South to Wellington.

The bridge at Greymouth in South Island after we left Sr Arnaud on our way South towards Arthur’s Pass.

I love this photo of the Otira Viaduct along Arthur’s Pass as we headed across South Island towards Amberley.

The photo above is of a bridge over the Taipo River that I took when we were heading towards Arthur’s pass.

This final photo today is a bridge beside Lake Tekapo in South Island – and, yes, the water of that lake truly is that beautiful colour.
Featured Photo
Today’s featured photo is of the Brunner Bridge near the site of an infamous 19th century coal -mining disaster when more than a hundred miners were killed in an explosion.
I took this photo in 2017 with my 16 MP Pentax K50 and its 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.
EXIF data were: 1/60 secs @ f/16 and 18 mm: the ISO was 200.
Beautiful bridges..We were on a similar sky bridge in Costa Rica.

Thank you once more for your comment. I’m pleased that you liked these bridge photos. I’ve never been to Costa Rica. I’m sure that there would be some wonderful photo opportunities there.
