Well, that’s two interesting bridges from Newcastle already. Let’s today look at some other of the city’s bridges.

The high level bridge allows both road traffic and pedestrian passage between Newcastle and Gateshead. It is seen here from the Newcastle end.

This photo is one that I took looking along the pedestrian passage, segregated by railings from the roadway.

There are gaps between sections of the pedestrian passages and, for safety reasons, there are mesh guards provided. One section here, that would otherwise afford a nice view of the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, has been ‘decorated’ with padlocks.

Above, I provide a shot that I took from the High Level Bridge looking down, across the Swing Bridge, to the Tyne Bridge and the ‘Winking Eye’ bridge beyond.

Just another photo of the High Level Bridge today – again taken with my Pentax K50 camera.
EXIF data were: 1/50 secs @ f/8 and 26.25 mm. The ISO was 100.
Is that ship jammed under the bridge …..LOL

Not a ship, though I guess that you knew that: it’s the platform the bridge swings around. Thanks for calling by to look.
