Edinburgh #3

Talking of Edinburgh’s buildings…………..

Edinburgh University: New College building

Bank of Scotland

I understand that the is the Head Office of the bank.

St Giles Cathedral

The standing figure statue in the photo apparently depicts Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch and 7th Duke of Queensberry. (I say, apparently, because another source says that the statue is of John Knox). Both sources describe the statue as being in Parliament Square.

Featured Photo

Earlier in my series about Edinburgh, I provided images of some of the monuments on Calton Hill. My featured photo today shows most of those monuments as seen from the city centre.

I took this, as with all the Edinburgh series using my Fujifilm XT-4 mirrorless camera coupled with a 16-55 mm f/2.8 lens. The shutter speed was 1/320 secs @ f/5.6 and 53.3 mm. The ISO was 160.
