On with the new

Welcome to the new theme I’ve chosen to continue my daily Blog. I’ve spent much of today creating the look and updating the content while retaining most of what went before.

Sadly, I really had to delete most of the photographs that I’ve been uploading for the past twelve months. I can’t remember very well which ones I’ve used, but I know some that would have been deleted.

I’ll continue with the Edinburgh series for now, but, after that, I’d like to do a whole series about bridges. I enjoyed photographing the Forth Bridges that I’ve just finished posting about, and that’s what’s inspired my thinking. Some bridge photos I’ve definitely used before – but not as part of a specific theme.

For now – Edinburgh city centre – ups, downs, statues, monuments, open spaces and a palace.

West Bow on its way up from Grassmarket High, old buildings and a lovely curve.

Higher up West Bow with its colourful frontages.

I’ve chosen to look down at the street that is shown going up in the other photos I’ve included today. Looking back down West Bow.

I took all the shots in this series of images of Edinburgh city centre on my Fujifilm XT-4 mirrorless camera mounted with a Fuji XF 16-55 mm f/2.8 telephoto lens. For this photo the settings were 1/500 s @ f/5.6 and 16 mm ISO 160
